The design of this residence takes advantage of the site's award shape, being wide, but not very deep. By maximising the width of the building, over 3 residential floors, every habitable room enjoyed spectacular views over Sydney Harbour. Deep verandahs protect internal spaces from the westerly sun. The clients' desire for a building that would age well has been satisfied through the use of classic column details, cementitious paint and the encouragement of landscaping as an integral part of the architecture.
